This blog is dedicated to information and advice. It's more about sharing infomation. Information about social issues, homemaking and entertaining issues, marital issues, family issues, issues about raising children, saving money…. Anything you would ask your mom or favorite aunt:).
It will hopefully be a place to find answers. If I can't help, I will consult with others whom I feel are experts in any area I'm not familiar with. The idea is that so many people struggle with problems and don't have anyone to ask. What's a fast and easy idea for dinner that won't cost a fortune? Is couponing worth my time? How do I make a "wow" dinner when I can barely cook? How do I get my kids to do their chores? How do you get your husband to do what you want?
I am uniquely qualified to answer these and other questions because I am already a source for my six children, two son-in-law's, three grandchildren and countless people I love who have gleaned from my experience and also shared with me, their wisdom.
My whole life I have been gathering information, much of it seemingly useless, but I have been on this planet for more than half a century and I have tried to learn from my mistakes and the mistakes of others. I am a resolver and when I'm faced with something that isn't working, I simply must resolve it.
The best example of this is in my marriage. I have been married for over 30 years and although it hasn't been a cake walk, we are in a really good place right now and that only happened because of work. Hard work. Day in and day out, loving each other through thick and thin.
What I've learned along the way might be useful to you, I am happy to share that information.
I've also been cursed with an abundance of creativity. This is a curse because I simply can't turn my brain off when faced with a project of any kind. This applies to cooking, interior design, photography, wedding receptions, parties, raising kids, finding good doctors you name it! I love to be creative but I sometimes end up being a little obsessive because of this brain of mine. The good thing is I am willing to share that creativity with you if you want.
So put me to the test! I will post a variety of things which may or may not interest anyone but will be a chance for me to document a solution which has helped me in my life. If for no other reason, my posterity will have this record to refer to long after I am gone.
